Good Bad Girl is a new comedy series on SonyLIV that explores the life of a female lawyer, who can leave no stone unturned to win in her life even if she needs to use a big lie. Ina recent chat with OTTplay, actor Gul Panag shared her experience of working in the series alongside Samridhi Dewan and Vaibhav Raj Gupta, who are playing the pivotal characters in the series.
Excerpts:
Explaining what she admires the most about her role, Gul shared that her character Zaina Mistry is a very career-driven woman, who is trying to keep her father’s law firm in place. “She is somebody, who has taken all the responsibility of keeping the flag high of Mistry and Mistry firm and that’s what I like about her,” she added.
Talking about her dynamic with other actors, especially those who are young and fairly new to the industry, the actor shared, “I think the best way you can support the younger actor is just by making sure that you are making them comfortable. My first film was with Om Puri and Revathi and they did not make it a point to give me any specific tips. I feel, telling people how to do their job in my opinion is not my approach to work.”
When asked how helpful according to her the OTT platforms have been for actors, she shared, “With OTT overall volume of content has increased and people are not only consuming content in the evening hours but at any hour of the day, they get the time and especially during their transits in metros or cabs.”
“And because the demand has gone so up, so the supply has also gone up. So now there is a great amount of work for everybody including actors, directors, scriptwriters, technical staff and more,” she added.
When asked about what new the show, Good Bad Girl has to offer the audience, Gul explained, “There has never been a show like this made before. The fact that it’s the story that has the way a female protagonist headlines it.
Talking about her upcoming projects, when we asked about the developments of Paatal Lok, the diva only mentioned that the shoot will begin as soon as the production house as well as Amazon Prime Video will take a call.
