Former beauty queen and actress Gul Panag participated in the Indian Army Veterans Half Marathon, Honour Run, in the capital city of Delhi. The event was held at the Manekshaw Centre, showcasing the vision of the Kartan Risar initiative, which aims to build a strong bridge between veterans, gallant soldiers, and citizens of the country.

Recently, she took to social media and some of her moments from the marathon. She expressed her experience being at the Indian Army Veterans Half Marathon, she wrote, “What makes any experience special- is the people you share it with. This weekend has been a sports enthusiast’s dream come true. To have had the opportunity to spend time with Ashton Eaton, two-time Olympic Gold winner in Decathlon, the world record holder – perhaps one of the greatest athletes of our time – was out of the world. His incredible ability to be present in the moment and to articulate his thoughts is truly something to be inspired by. And his dance moves aren’t bad, either. @swatysmalik Well, what can I say, such an accomplished runner? How she makes time to train every week despite her schedule as a lawyer is admirable. May her tribe grow. Last but not least, @fitgirl.india was one more reason I ran today. Like I said in my previous post, I wasn’t planning to run. I was happy to cheer. Thank you, Ayesha.”

In one of the video reels, she shared grooving to the track with the RJ. Sharing the video, she wrote, “This is what we call the post-run disco. The spontaneous groove that happened as we cheered the start of the 5 K Great Delhi Run! And RJ @preachaaaa kept us grooving.”

For Gul Delhi, it has been an incredible experience with their energy and over 30,000 runners, running like they belonged to a tribe. The event will take place on the 25th anniversary, silver jubilee, of the Kargil Vijay Diwas, commemorating India’s victory over Pakistan during the Kargil War in Ladakh in 1999. Along with Gul, many renowned personalities were present at the event. It symbolised widespread support and enthusiasm for the Honour Run. It will be the noble mission of running.
