Gul Panag is upbeat about her new role as a crime journalist in the sequel of Ab Tak Chappan which is being directed by Ram Gopal Varma. Her character, if sources are to be believed, has an uncanny resemblance with real-life journalist Jigna Vora who has been accused in famous crime journalist J Dey’s murder case.

Like Jigna, Gul Panag as reporter Shaalu Dikshit, is an avid reader and writer. Also, Shaalu falls in a tricky bad situation something similar to what Jigna has gone through in real life as accuse in J Dey’s murder where she played an instigator.

Gul is only female actor amongst other male dominants with Nana Patekar in the lead role. Also, she is all praises for the sequel which begins where the prequel had ended.
