Shashi Tharoor, Gul Panag, Mallika Sherawat, Nikhil Chinapa, Priyanka Chopra, Preity Zinta, and Rakhi Sawant are some of the popular Indian celebrities who have a large fan following on Twitter. But who is the best Indian celebrity among them?
The number of followers of any celebrity is a good indicator of his or her popularity, but it’s not the only criterion that we should use to judge a person’s credibility over Twitter. Which of the Indian celebrities interact and respond to fans (followers)? Who has done the maximum number of updates over Twitter?
Number of updates could be a better indicator of how intensely involved a celebrity is on Twitter. Shashi Tharoor, who has the maximum number of followers on Twitter, has tweeted about 643 times.
Mallika Sherawat has done a bit more than 1,000 tweets. But it’s Gul Panag who is doing a wonderful job of tweeting and interacting with her followers on Twitter. In just about a few months time, she has already posted more than 5,000 tweets, which includes several retweets, “@” replies, and photographs shared over Twitter. She really seems to “belong” to the Twitter community.
Mallika Sherawat comes a close second to her in terms of popularity on Twitter, but her updates continue to be much less than Gul Panag’s. The rest of the Indian celebrities that we mentioned, do not even come close to 500 tweets. So, in terms of interactivity, frequency of tweets, and what one observes on Twitter, Gul Panag could be the best Indian celebrity on Twitter? What say?
