Actor Gul Panag doesn’t believe in taking by-lanes – be it while riding her bullet or talking about the recent groping-controversy during the Delhi Marathon.

“If Delhi men are so proud about themselves then they should make sure that the city is safe for all the women,” says Gul without demincing any word.

And she isn’t willing to leave it just there. “We have Delhi’s CM saying that women should not go out in the night. If I am paying taxes to the government then why shouldn’t I get to move around in Delhi,” she adds. “What the hell is police supposed to do? Men just don’t know how to respect women.”

Gul will next be seen in Prakash Jha’s Dor. “The movie has a stamp of realism. It’s not a thriller or suspense or some underworld mafia movie, but it’s a movie of an ordinary working woman and how her life changes one day,” she says.

The model turned actress further says, “Every working woman will identify herself with the character of Naina. She has to juggle between work, parents and boyfriend.”

Gul also shared a great rapport with co-star Purab Kohli. “Purab used to pull my leg all the time and I used to get really irritated,” she says. “But then I later realised that it used to lighten up my mood a bit and I used to feel relaxed.”
