Miss Universe India 1999 and Bollywood actress, Gul Panag, has had a noteworthy film journey, giving impeccable performances in films like ‘Jurm,’ ‘Hello Darling,’ ‘Bypass Road,’ ‘Fatso,’ and more. Now, the beauty queen is all set for her upcoming courtroom drama, ‘420 IPC.’

In this film, Gul plays the character of a housewife whose husband becomes a victim of a scam. She plays ‘Puja Kiswani.’ Shedding some light about her character, the beauty queen said, “On the surface, she is a simple housewife but she is not what she projects herself to the outer world and there comes the plot twist.”

Gul said, “I think each character has two parts, one that is visualised by the writer and director; another in which the actors infuse something from themselves, in their own interpretation and perform that. When it comes to playing a housewife, I believe every character has its own strength and how you bring that strength out on-screen through your performance, depends on you as an actor. It is the craft of an actor to add the layer to a character, otherwise, the character becomes so flat. For me, bringing a part of me into the character is how I make it interesting.”

The plot of 420 IPC revolves around a CA, played by Vinay Pathak, who is arrested for an economic offense and who is defended by Rohan Vinod Mehra.
‘420 IPC’ is directed and written by Manish Gupta and produced by Zee Studios and Kyoorius Digital P.L.. It also stars Vinay Pathak and Ranvir Shorey. The film is ready to release on 17th December, on ZEE5.
